The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Friday was a cheering 80-62-136. The TSX Venture Exchange fell fractionally to 718 while polished diamond prices fell 0.1 per cent. Toby Mayo's Far Resources Ltd. (FAT) gained two cents to 16 cents on 1.22 million shares. Far is seeking lithium at Zoro, near Snow Lake in Northern Manitoba, and at Hidden Lake, north of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories.
Dr. Leon Daniels and Graham Warren's Pangolin Diamonds Corp. (PAN: $0.045) has begun new drilling at its intriguing MAL 278 target, on its Malatswae project in southeastern Botswana. This follows a percussion drill program that yielded what Dr. Daniels, president and chief executive officer, and Mr. Warren, chief financial officer, call positive indicator minerals at depth, from a big "kimberlite pipe-shaped target." They say that, based on the data obtained from the four-hole percussion program, a 200-plus-metre core drilling program has been started to confirm kimberlite as the source of the indicators and a coincident magnetic anomaly.
