The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was an upbeat 88-68-122. The TSX Venture Exchange rose five points to 720 while polished diamond prices edged lower. James Nelson's Spearmint Resources Inc. (SRJ) closed unchanged at three cents on 3.61 million shares. The struggling company has renewed its lithium claims in Nevada and is voluntarily exchanging its TSX-V listing for one on the Canadian Securities Exchange.

David Kelsch and Douglas Eaton's GGL Resources Corp. (GGL), down one-half cent to 9.5 cents on 4,000 shares, has wrapped up geophysics and modelling programs at its new (to it) Bishop and Rhombus diamond projects in the Northwest Territories. Mr. Kelsch, president and chief operating officer since last November, says that it has more geophysical and geochemical data to review at other projects, adding that GGL will "add to its inventory of drill-ready targets." Unfortunately, it is the targets that are ready for drilling, not the company, as winter is fast approaching in Canada's North and GGL's pockets are threadbare.
