The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a positive 75-68-134. The TSX Venture Exchange fell fractionally to 739 while polished diamond prices were flat. Belmont Resources Inc. (BEL) added one cent to six cents on 1.07 million shares. There has been no news since late June, when the company said it had received drill permits for its Kibby lithium brine project in Nevada.
Dr. Ray Davies's infrequent trader, Talmora Diamond Corp. (TAI), up one-half cent to four cents on 506,000 shares, has found a co-venturer for its Horton diamond project, north of Great Bear Lake in the Northwest Territories. Leni Keough's Olivut Resources Ltd. (OLV: $0.10) can earn a 50-per-cent interest in the project by paying $200,000 in cash and spending $1.2-million on exploration over a two-year period. Talmora held just over 16,000 hectares of claims, as well as 86,000 hectares spread across three permits, in the area. (The claims and one of the permits are part of the arrangement with Olivut; Talmora will keep the other two permit areas on which it will continue its big talk and little action.)
