The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Friday was an encouraging 100-58-120. The TSX Venture Exchange rose 15 points to 895 while polished diamond prices edged lower. True North Gems Inc. (TGX) continues to trade briskly. Today, it added one-half cent to 1.5 cents on 4.59 million shares. The company, essentially bankrupt since it lost its Aappaluttoq ruby project in Greenland over a year ago, is $4.5-million in the red.
Dermot Desmond and David Whittle's Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. (MPVD) gained five cents to $3.51 on 2.52 million shares.
