The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a mediocre 65-77-120. The TSX Venture Exchange fell four points to 792 while polished diamond prices rose 0.1 per cent. Ken MacNeill and George Read's Shore Gold Inc. (SGF) dropped one cent to 18 cents on 1.33 million shares. The company is set for its most active year in a nearly a decade at Star, but its stock remains upwardly immobile.

Terry Tucker's Tango Mining Ltd. (TGV), unchanged at four cents on 193,000 shares, is hiring a contract miner for its Oena alluvial diamond project in South Africa. South Africa-based Bluedust 7 Pty. Ltd. has tentatively agreed to pay for and maintain the equipment required, in exchange for a 75-per-cent share of the gross income of net diamond sales, less commission, over the five-year term of the contract. (For diamonds worth more than $500,000 (U.S.) -- assuming there are any -- Bluedust will get a bit less: 70 per cent of the gross income.)
