The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a mediocre 55-70-132. The TSX Venture Exchange fell two points to 764 while polished diamond prices fell 0.1 per cent. Michael Kobler's American Lithium Corp. (LI) gained two cents to 10.5 cents on 3.68 million shares. The company is active on its Fish Lake lithium brine project in Nevada but it has had no news in two months. The company continued a management shuffle late last week, replacing Marc Bruner with Andrew Bowering.

Jim Greig's Crystal Exploration Inc. (CEI: $0.10) has sold 6.29 million shares at 10 cents. The company said in mid-May that it was seeking $1-million and in mid-June, Mr. Greig reminded investors that he and his crew were still working on the placement. They apparently still are, as Crystal is calling the sale a first tranche, but they do not say when the remaining 3.71 million shares might be sold. Mr. Greig, president and chief executive officer, says the cash is for working capital and exploration on the company's Muskox, Contwoyto and Hood diamond projects in Nunavut.
