The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was a positive 74-64-118. The TSX Venture Exchange rose fractionally to 829 while polished diamond prices were flat. James Nelson's Cruz Cobalt Corp. (CUZ) gained one cent to 20.5 cents on 1.90 million shares. The company has been acquiring cobalt prospects in Ontario and Montana, but it has been silent for the past three weeks.
Dermot Desmond and Dr. Rory Moore's Kennady Diamonds Inc. (KDI), up 15 cents to $3.90 on 10,000 shares, has wrapped up its mini-bulk sampling at its three Faraday kimberlites on Kennady North, just northeast of the Gahcho Kue mine and 250 kilometres northeast of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. The company extracted about 555 tonnes of kimberlite from the three Faraday kimberlites using reverse circulation drills, prompting Dr. Moore, president and chief executive officer for the past year, to proclaim delight at having "successfully achieved all of the objectives set for the 2017 program."
