The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a positive 83-69-105. The TSX Venture Exchange fell one point to 835 while polished diamond prices rose 0.1 per cent. Terry Tucker's Tango Mining Ltd. (TGV) closed unchanged at five cents on 1.99 million shares. Tango caught the attention of investors last week, after it recovered a 36-carat gem on its Oena alluvial project in South Africa.

Chris Taylor's Dunnedin Ventures Inc. (DVI), up 1.5 cents to 39 cents on 169,000 shares, has more diamonds from its Kahuna dike on its diamond project northeast of Rankin inlet in Nunavut. The latest gems, taken from a 144.4-kilogram batch of kimberlite, included 13 stones larger than a 0.85-millimetre sieve. Those stones weighed 0.334 carat, resulting in a sample grade of 2.32 carats per tonne. The two largest diamonds, weighing 0.12 carat and 0.09 carat respectively, contributed nearly two-thirds of the parcel weight suggesting Dunnedin was probably a bit lucky with the test.
