The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a weak 50-67-145. The TSX Venture Exchange fell fractionally to 772 while polished diamond prices edged higher. Dr. Rory Moore's Kennady Diamonds Inc. (KDI) gained three cents to $4.04 on 10,000 shares. Kennady has stayed near the $4 mark since spring as the flow of news has tapered off. It is likely to pick up again when the company renews its exploration push this winter at Kelvin and Faraday in the Northwest Territories.
Ellen Clements's New Nadina Explorations Ltd. (NNA), down three cents to 10 cents on 4,000 shares, says "news is pending" regarding its Monument diamond project on the south shore of Lac de Gras. Unfortunately, she is referring to "activity and results by other operators in the area," not to any activity by New Nadina and its co-venturers. (New Nadina holds a 57.49-per-cent interest; Dr. Stewart Blusson's Archon Minerals Ltd. (ACS: $1.42) and a private company owned by Dr. Chris Jennings share the remaining interest.)
