The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Friday was a mediocre 62-68-135. The TSX Venture Exchange fell three points to 799 while polished diamond prices regained 0.5 per cent. Ken MacNeill and George Read's Shore Gold Inc. (SGF) lost one cent to 19.5 cents on 92,000 shares. Shore remains bonded to the 20-cent mark, to which it has quickly snapped back after each and every attempt to break free over the past several years. Weary shareholders hope a provincial environmental approval and a feasibility update will snap the tethers.

Ryan Kalt's Clean Commodities Corp. (CLE), down one-half cent to 9.5 cents on 57,000 shares, has acquired another six tenure claims covering 26,000 hectares of ground in the Athabasca basin of northwestern Saskatchewan. The company says that its new property had previously been worked by uranium explorers but Mr. Kalt has nevertheless incorporated it into the Athabasca diamond project it acquired this summer. That prospect spanned 37,000 hectares spread across 20 tenure claims, so the company now has just over 63,000 hectares of claims scattered about the periphery of the developing Athabasca diamond district.
