The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a mediocre 52-56-151. The TSX Venture Exchange gained five points to 657 while polished diamond prices were flat. Terry Tucker's Tango Mining Ltd. (TGV) gained one cent to three cents on 2.38 million shares. The company is attempting to finance the acquisition of the BK11 diamond mine in South Africa.

Dermot Desmond and Patrick Evans's Kennady Diamonds Inc. (KDI), up 24 cents to $3.74 on 11,000 shares, has completed its bulk sample of the north lobe of Kelvin, the primary kimberlite pipe at its Kennady North project, 10 kilometres northeast of Gahcho Kue. The 29 reverse-circulation holes yielded 580 tonnes of kimberlite, 80 tonnes more than the company set out to extract. As well, Kennady completed three initially unplanned holes into the southeastern lobe. The company did not say how much kimberlite it recovered, but it was apparently considerably less than the 20 tonnes per hole attained in the northern lobe.

Maybe Will Purcell has been chatting with the company's former CEO, PO 'Brien who has relegated himself to internet chat rooms and suing his former shareholders. Over 3 years since this PO resigned voluntarily, yet somehow this is still news?
