The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a weak 44-79-146. The TSX Venture Exchange fell four points to 651 while polished diamond prices were flat. Patrick Power's Arctic Star Exploration Corp. (ADD) lost one half-cent to five cents on 1.65 million shares. The company, an active trader this spring, is raising cash to work two diamond plays near Lac de Gras.
Quentin Yarie and Craig Scherba's Honey Badger Exploration Inc. (TUF), unchanged at three cents on 27,000 shares, has appointed a new director: Judy Baker. Mr. Yarie, president and chief executive officer, offered the usual pleasantries in welcoming his new director, noting Ms. Baker's "extensive experience" in capital markets and company management "will be invaluable" as Honey Badger advances its LG diamond project in the James Bay region of Quebec. Mr. Yarie pointed out Ms. Baker's current roles as a director of the promotionally successful Nemaska Lithium Inc. (NMX: $1.10), and of the not-so-successful Arbitrage Exploration Inc. (AEA: $0.10).
