The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Friday was an upbeat 63-49-140. The TSX Venture Exchange gained two points to 694 while polished diamond prices edged downward. Brian Testo's Grizzly Discoveries Inc. (GZD) gained one-half cent to 4.5 cents on 251,000 shares. Grizzly has quietly expanded its big diamond project in the Buffalo Hills of Northern Alberta. The company has several new drill targets and two diamondiferous pipes that need larger tests, but its exploration program has been deathly silent for several years. That will change, Mr. Testo says, if he can raise cash or find a co-venturer. Unfortunately, there has been nothing but silence on that front as well. Bill Radvak's American Vanadium Corp. (AVC) rebounded one cent to eight cents on 257,000 shares. The stock, above 15 cents two weeks ago, slumped when Mr. Radvak said the company was cutting costs at its Gibellini vanadium project to focus on the "near-term sales pipeline" of CellCube vanadium flow batteries.
