The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a mediocre 49-60-152. The TSX Venture Exchange lost five points to 1,006 while diamond prices were flat. Lukas Lundin and Eira Thomas's Lucara Diamond Corp. (LUC) lost nine cents to $2.62 on 1.33 million shares. Lucara recently sold several valuable diamonds from its Karowe mine in Botswana for $40-million. The results from run-of-mine sales at Karowe will not be available for a few weeks. Those gems will likely fetch at least $30-million, putting the company on track for another scintillating quarter. Paul Gill's Lomiko Metals Inc. (LMR) lost one-half cent to five cents on 1.32 million shares. Lomiko hopes to mine graphite at Quatre Milles and to produce graphene in partnership with Graphene Laboratories Inc. When Mr. Gill touts graphene, Lomiko's stock goes up; when he talks graphite, it goes down. Unfortunately, his last news was of geophysical anomalies at Quatre Milles.
