ZEOX CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW CEO
Zeox Corp. has appointed David Thom as chief executive officer, effective Aug. 24, 2010, until Nov. 3, 2010. The appointment may be extended from that date by mutual consent. Mr. Thom is the founder of DMT Capital Corp., a private company that provides management, venture capital financing and financial workout and restructuring consulting services, primarily for early stage companies.
Mr. Thom has been the leader of a variety of transactions including initial prospectus offerings, reverse takeovers, takeover bids and the sale or disposition of assets. He has also led a number of financial workouts and restructuring of debt obligations. Due to the nature of this role, Mr. Thom was a director and officer of Bromley-Marr ECOS Inc. immediately prior to the time of events that led to the appointment of a receiver, and was a director and officer of Service Track Enterprises Inc. immediately prior to the events that led to its insolvency. Mr. Thom was also a director and officer of Clement Systems Inc. and caused that company to file a proposal to its creditors that was not fulfilled and thus led to its insolvency. Additionally, Mr. Thom has been an executive officer and/or director of the following companies that were listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange or TSX Venture Exchange (or their predecessor exchanges): Adam Technologies Inc., Axisport Inc., Bald Eagle Golf Corp., Burnt Sand Solutions Inc., Carmanah Technologies Corp., Cathay Overseas Inc., Dart Energy Inc., Eyelogic Systems Inc., Grecian Specialty Foods Inc., Realm Group Inc., Maple Partners Inc., Nextra Technologies Inc., Samena Resources Corp., Service Track Enterprises Inc., Target Energy Inc. and Tornado Technologies Inc. Mr. Thom has also been a consultant to a number of private companies in a number of industries, including text messaging, solar power, file transfers, wellhead heating systems, tequila production and heavy oil enhancement.
Mr. Thom's expertise is in the areas of corporate strategy, operations management, finance and project management acquired from the venture capital and construction industries. He holds an MBA from the
University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business and a BSc in civil engineering from Queen's University at Kingston.
Subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, Mr. Thom has been granted three million options exercisable at five cents under the company's option plan.
