Mr. Gregg Saretsky reports
WESTJET ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE OF CAM KENYON
WestJet Airlines Ltd.'s Cam Kenyon, WestJet executive vice-president, operations, is departing, effective
July 20, 2013. Mr. Kenyon will be returning to Denver to be with his family.
"Cam has been an integral part of the WestJet team since his arrival in
January, 2011, and has shown himself to be a skilled and valued leader,"
said Gregg Saretsky, WestJet president and chief executive officer. "Cam exemplifies and
embraces who we are, culturally. His contributions have been many and
he will be greatly missed."
"I am regrettably leaving a company I love at a time when there are so
many exciting initiatives under way," commented Mr. Kenyon. "My family
made the decision to return to Denver from Calgary in June, 2012, and
since that time, I have been commuting between the two cities. This was
a tremendously difficult decision that only I could make, but
ultimately it is important that I put my own family ahead of my WestJet
family. I will always consider myself a WestJetter."
A search for Mr. Kenyon's replacement is currently under way.
