VALEANT PHARMACEUTICALS PROVIDES EFINCONAZOLE UPDATE

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. has agreed that the launch of efinaconazole, its topical product candidate for the treatment of onychomycosis, will not occur until after the September, 2013, arbitration hearing to resolve the breach of contract dispute with Anacor Pharmaceuticals. As a result, the preliminary injunction hearing, which was scheduled for May 6 to 8, 2013, has been cancelled. Valeant intends to contest Anacor's claims vigorously and continues to expect to launch the product in 2013.
