SUNCOR ENERGY TO RELEASE FOURTH QUARTER 2011 FINANCIAL RESULTS

Suncor Energy Inc. will release its fourth quarter financial results on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at 8 p.m. MT (10 p.m. ET).

Following the release, a teleconference to review the fourth quarter will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 a.m. MT (9:30 a.m. ET). Representing management will be Rick George, chief executive officer, Steve Williams, president and chief operating officer, and Bart Demosky, chief financial officer. A question-and-answer period will follow brief remarks from management. Steve Douglas, vice-president investor relations, will host the call.
