Brien Lundin, in the April, 2013, edition of the Gold Newsletter, says hold Calico Resources Corp., recently 13 cents. Mr. Lundin said buy three times between July, 2011, and August, 2012, at prices ranging from 29 to 37 cents. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each buy, the $3,000 position is now worth $1,205. Calico has received an extension, from the Oregon Water Resources Department, for its water use permit for the Grassy Mountain gold project. It applied for the extension over a year ago. Mr. Lundin says the success of the million-ounce-plus Grassy Mountain project largely depends on the company's ability to complete the state's permitting process. The editor notes Calico's extension application did not meet public protests or petitions for judicial review. He says if the company receives all permits to mine the massive underground deposit at Grassy Mountain, then the stock could be lucrative. The gold bug recommends holding Calico for the long term. Elsewhere in the newsletter, Mr. Lundin says gold does not have a lot of time left for a spring rally. If the summer doldrums begin in May or June, then the gold market may not provide much excitement until the fall, barring extraordinary events.
