SCOTIA ITRADE MOBILE TRADING APP TAKES SELF-DIRECTED TRADING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) has launched its new Scotia iTRADE mobile trading app, giving customers on-the-go the ability to make equity and option trades, and manage their own investments with real-time market data right from their smart phones.

The mobile version of its popular on-line trading service allows Scotia iTRADE customers to track, review and trade their investments from beyond the desktop or laptop. The app is compatible with many smart phone devices.

"Our new Scotia iTRADE app provides customers with the same quality experience as our on-line portal no matter where they are, and that's putting trading power right in the palm of your hand," said James Stares, director, product strategy, at Scotia iTRADE. "With today's busy lifestyles, there's a need to multitask, and when it comes to financial decisions, it's crucial for our customers to have access to the marketplace whenever and however they need it."

The Scotia iTRADE app has been created with seamless integration in mind. Users familiar with the on-line trading suite will find it offers the same intuitive and user-friendly format, but with enhanced functions that:

• Provide access to personal account balances and holdings;
• Allow clients to view open orders and charts, as well as sync watch lists, get quotes, option chains and review market news -- all in real time;
• Execute equity, exchange-traded fund and options trades;
• Allow personalization of the app and its icons to best suit customers' trading needs.
