BALLARD ANNOUNCES FIRST QUARTER 2012 CONFERENCE CALL

Ballard Power Systems Inc. will hold a conference call on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at 8 a.m. PST (11 a.m. EST). John Sheridan, president and chief executive officer, and Tony Guglielmin, chief financial officer, will review Ballard's first quarter 2012 operating results.
