BERKWOOD DEPLOYS INDONESIAN FIELD TEAM TO BEGIN WORK PROGRAM ON CIMANDIRI GOLD PROPERTY IN JAVA INDONESIA

Berkwood Resources Ltd., through its Indonesian subsidiary, Berkwood Resources Indonesia, has deployed its Indonesian field team to commence the initial exploration program at its Cimandiri gold property in West Java, Indonesia.

This initial field exploration program will be broken into two phases. The first phase of the program will consist of geological mapping including structural, lithology and alteration mapping. The second phase of the program will consist of trenching, test pits and sampling, of which the locations will be determined based on information gathered during initial field reconnaissance, regional geology maps, surface prospecting, and all geological map work completed during the first phase of the program. All samples collected from the property will be submitted to Intertek's Jakarta lab for geochemical analysis. The exploration program is expected to last approximately five weeks and will be lead by senior geologist Andri Subandrio, with oversight being provided by geologist Johannes Erasmus, associate senior geologist of Micromine Consulting Services.

Mr. Erasmus is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Mr. Erasmus will be the qualified person for this and future work programs on the Cimandiri gold property. Mr. Erasmus has a BSc (geology) from the University of South Africa and an MSc (mineral economics) from the School of Mining Engineering at the University of Witwatersrand. Mr. Erasmus has more than 30 years experience in both mining and exploration, and has been responsible for the management of numerous exploration programs around the world.

Brian Buchanan, president of Berkwood Resources, states, "We are excited to see our exploration team begin this initial phase of exploration, on our first property acquisition in Indonesia."

The Cimandiri gold property is located approximately 120 kilometres south of Jakarta, approximately three hours driving time. The property sits at an elevation ranging from 700 to 900 metres above sea level. Railway lines are nearby, with the closest rail station located only eight km from the property. The project is located approximately nine km southwest of the open pit Cikondang gold mine.

This news release has been reviewed and approved by Mr. Erasmus, senior associate geologist of Micromine Consulting Services. Mr. Erasmus is a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101.
