Mr. Gordon Deans reports
ACT AURORA CONTROL TECHNOLOGIES SIGNS
SECOND EVALUATION AGREEMENT WITH TOP-TIER SOLAR CELL MANUFACTURER
AGREEMENT MARKS ENTRY INTO KEY ASIAN MARKET
ACT Aurora Control Technologies
Corp. has entered into an agreement for a second commercial evaluation
of the company's Decima CD measurement instrument. The agreement is with a global
solar wafer, cell and module manufacturer based in Asia. As one of the top-10 solar
product manufacturers in 2012, this company shipped over 700 megawatts-peak of solar modules
last year.
The evaluation will provide a reference installation in Asia, the highest-growth region
for both solar product manufacturing and solar power plant installations. It will consist
of installation of the Decima in a high-volume production line, with real-time
optimization of line operations using the data generated by the Decima.
"This agreement continues our strategy of developing a presence in top-tier solar cell
manufacturers, and places our products in a key growth market for Aurora," said
Gordon Deans, Aurora's president and chief executive officer. "In this evaluation, the Decima will also be
incorporated into a standard automated diffusion furnace unloader for the first time.
This provides solar cell manufacturers with a turnkey installation, which is an
important option in the Asian market."
We seek Safe Harbor.
