2013-05-21 11:48 ET - News Release

Mr. Warren Funt reports

ENFORCEMENT NOTICE - IN THE MATTER OF JOHN WINSTON LANG - SETTLEMENT HEARING

A hearing has been scheduled before a hearing panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) to consider whether the hearing panel should accept a settlement agreement entered into between IIROC staff and John Winston Lang.

The agreement concerns an allegation that Mr. Lang failed to adequately supervise registered representative Marco Myatovic.

The hearing is not open to the public, but will become open in the event that the panel accepts the agreement. If the agreement is accepted, the panel's decision and the settlement agreement will be made available on the IIROC website.

Documents related to continuing IIROC enforcement proceedings, including Reasons and decisions of hearing panels, are posted on the IIROC website as they become available.

Hearing date:  Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 10 a.m.

Location:  Reportex Agencies, 1010 925 West Georgia St., Conference Room, Vancouver, B.C.

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Lang's conduct in May, 2010. The conduct occurred when he was a branch manager with the Prince George branch of Canaccord Genuity Corp., an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Lang is currently a registered representative with the Prince George branch of Wolverton Securities Ltd., an IIROC-regulated firm.
