New York Business Journal Recognizes Ellen Kratzer as a ‘Woman of Influence’

NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, proudly announces that Ellen Kratzer, managing director, has been named one of the 2018 “Women of Influence” by the New York Business Journal.

The New York Business Journal’s annual “Women of Influence” listing honors women professionals in the New York metropolitan area who stand out for impressive achievements in the marketplace and their communities. Ms. Kratzer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with individuals, families, and their advisors, working with Fiduciary Trust clients in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Kratzer is secretary of the board of STEP USA, the national organization overseeing the 17 branches and chapters of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) in the U.S. She is also a member of the International Bar Association’s Individual Tax and Private Client Committee and the Estate Planning Council of New York City. In addition, she is a member of the American Heart Association Professional Advisors Council and the Princeton University Planned Giving Advisory Committee.

Ms. Kratzer received Trader Magazine’s “Wall Street Women of Excellence Award” in 2013, having been honored in the charitable works category for devoting considerable energy and resources to philanthropic causes that benefit society as a whole. An active community volunteer, she is co-chair of the Council for Canadian-American Relations, an organization that promotes goodwill between Canada and the U.S. through the arts. She is also a past president of the New York Junior League, an organization dedicated to improving communities and training women for civic leadership. From 2014 to 2016, she served as president of the Association of Junior Leagues International, comprising 150,000 women volunteers in 291 Junior Leagues in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the U.K. Ms. Kratzer is also a former chair of the USA board for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. She has served as a governor of the Shaw Festival Theatre in Ontario and as a member of the boards of the YWCA of New York City, New York Youth at Risk, and Grosvenor Neighborhood House Y. In 2014, Ms. Kratzer received the National Council of Jewish Women New York’s “Women Who Dared Award,” which recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves by empowering women, offering increased career opportunities, and making a difference in the lives of New Yorkers.
