NEW YORK, May 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Medley Management Inc. ("Medley") (NYSE:MDLY), a leading asset manager, announced today that James Frank will join the Medley team as Senior Managing Director and member of the Investing Team. Mr. Frank will focus on creating a special situations platform and will be based in New York.

Mr. Frank joins Medley with over 15 years of private equity and special situation investing experience. Prior to joining Medley, Mr. Frank was a Partner at The Yucaipa Companies, where he focused on private equity and special situations. Before Yucaipa, Mr. Frank worked for Apollo Global Management, where he specialized in private equity and distressed debt investments. Mr. Frank began his career in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He received a bachelor's degree from Williams College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
