Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. Declares Quarterly Dividend

WOOSTER, Ohio, Dec. 18, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq:WAYN), the stock holding company parent of Wayne Savings Community Bank, has declared a cash dividend of $0.09 per share of the Company's common stock for the quarter ending December 31, 2014. This represents an annualized dividend of $.36 per share. The quarterly cash dividend will be paid on January 21, 2015 to stockholders of record as of January 7, 2015.

At September 30, 2014, Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc. reported total assets of $413.7 million, deposits of $346.3 million, and stockholders' equity of $40.2 million, or 9.72% of total assets. 

Established in 1899, Wayne Savings Community Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc., has eleven full-service banking locations in the communities of Wooster, Ashland, Millersburg, Rittman, Lodi, North Canton, and Creston, Ohio.
