DALLAS, Oct. 1, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Builders FirstSource, Inc. (Nasdaq:BLDR), a leading supplier and manufacturer of structural and related building products for residential new construction in the United States, today announced it has purchased Trim Tech of Austin, Inc. ("Trim Tech"). Danny McQuary of Note Orius, Inc. served as financial advisor to Trim Tech during the transaction, which closed October 1^st.

Trim Tech is based in Hutto, Texas, which is located approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Austin. Trim Tech is a turn-key supplier of custom cabinets, interior and exterior doors, stair parts, and custom millwork and molding. Sales for fiscal 2013 were approximately $14 million.

Commenting on the transaction, Builders FirstSource CEO, Floyd Sherman, said, "This purchase provides a unique opportunity for us to expand our footprint by acquiring one of the largest remaining independent millwork suppliers in the greater Austin area.
