Amarantus Shareholders Approve All Matters Voted Upon at Annual Shareholders Meeting

SAN FRANCISCO and GENEVA, Sept. 25, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Amarantus Bioscience Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB:AMBS), a biotechnology company focused on the development of diagnostics and therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and orphan ophthalmological disorders, is pleased to announce the approval of all matters put forth to a vote of the shareholders at the company's Annual Shareholders Meeting.

The company presented seven resolutions to a vote of the shareholders and all were approved as follows:

  1. To elect the five director nominees named in the Proxy Statement to hold office until the next annual meeting of stockholders;
  2. To ratify the appointment of Marcum LLP as the Company's independent auditors for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2014;
  3. To conduct an advisory vote on executive compensation;
  4. To conduct an advisory vote on the frequency of future advisory votes on executive compensation;
  5. To approve an amendment to the Company's Articles of Incorporation to increase the Company's authorized shares of common stock from 1,000,000,000 to 2,000,000,000;
  6. To approve an amendment to the Company's First Amended 2008 Stock Plan to increase the number of shares of common stock authorized for issuance thereunder from 28,242,127 to 46,119,832;
  7. To approve the Company's 2014 Stock Plan.
