(OTCQB:PVTTF; CSE:PVO), ("Pivotal" or the "Company"), a specialty pharmaceutical company with a focus on Omega-3 therapies for cardiovascular disease and overall health, is pleased to announce that it closed the first tranche of the previously announced non-brokered private placement of up to 7,500,000 Units ("Units") at a price of $0.21 per Unit. The first tranche consisted of 476,196 Units for gross proceeds of $100,000. Efforts to close the full-targeted amount are ongoing.

Each Unit consists of one common share and one full purchase warrant. The purchase warrant entitles the holder to acquire one common share at a price of $0.21 and will have an expiry of 60 months following the closing of the private placement.

The net proceeds of the private placement will be used for general working capital.
