Northrop Grumman Receives Chairman's Award at 2014 National Society of Black Engineers Conference

Company recognized for support to Summer Engineering Experience for Kids program

FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) received the Chairman's Award at the 40th annual National Society of Black Engineer's (NSBE) conference which concluded this weekend in Nashville, Tenn.

This is the second year Northrop Grumman has received the award which recognizes companies on the NSBE Board of Corporate Affiliates for outstanding support and significant contributions to the goals and accomplishments of NSBE and its members.

The Northrop Grumman Foundation is a top supporter of the Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK) program, which is led by NSBE engineering students and technical professionals and designed to be a fun and engaging educational experience. SEEK is a three-week summer program for elementary and middle school students covering math and science principles, problem solving, product development and team activities. Each week campers take on a new project culminating with a presentation and design competition.
