POMEZIA, Italy, Jan. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has named Frank Spina managing director of the company's navigation systems subsidiary in Italy based in Pomezia, effective immediately.

In his new position, Spina is responsible for overall leadership of Northrop Grumman Italia's programmes and operations. The subsidiary provides high-accuracy inertial navigation systems, attitude heading reference systems, integrated avionics systems, missile and stabilization systems, and life cycle support for domestic and international customers.
Most recently, Spina served as vice president of Manufacturing and Supply Chain Continuous Improvement and acting operations director for Selex ES Elektronik Turkey. Spina has more than 28 years of experience managing strategic programmes, facilities, production and business line operations for global manufacturers within consumer and defence electronics.
He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering management from the University of Illinois.
