BACKGROUND:  

XLTE is a consumer-friendly way of describing the added capacity (bandwidth) that is being delivered over the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network through activation of the service on the company's additional AWS spectrum. XLTE helps deliver on the company's brand promise download and upload speeds in high-traffic areas during peak usage periods.

Customers with XLTE Ready devices can take advantage of both our original, nationwide 700 MHZ 4G LTE spectrum as well as the new AWS spectrum that has been activated in high-traffic areas in more than half of our 4G LTE markets nationwide .
