Human Rights Campaign Foundation Scores Grainger 100 Percent on Annual Scorecard on LGBTQ Workplace Equality for Fourth Straight Year

CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Grainger (NYSE: GWW), the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products serving businesses and institutions, earned a perfect score on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the fourth consecutive year and the designation of a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

Grainger team members support the LGBTQ community through its annual participation in the Chicago Pride Parade.

The CEI rated 947 businesses in this year's national benchmarking survey and report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Grainger joins 609 major U.S. businesses that achieved top marks on the 2018 report.

"It's an honor to be recognized for the fourth straight year by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for the work we do around creating an inclusive workplace," said Grainger Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, Joseph High. "We are committed to having a culture where all team members feel safe, valued and encouraged to contribute their best thinking, and we will continue to find ways to promote inclusion and diversity as a way to help our team members grow and succeed."
