Finalists Named for Catersource ACE, ICA CATIE and Event Solutions Spotlight Awards; Winners to be Announced at CSES2016 in March
MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the Catersource and Event Solutions Conference & Tradeshow 2016 (CSES2016) recognizes two industry professionals for the prestigious Michael Roman Lifetime Achievement Award and this year's Event Solutions Hall of Fame. Further, CSES2016 releases the distinguished finalists for the annual International Catering Association's (ICA) Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence (CATIE) Awards, Catersource Achievement in Catering Excellence (ACE) Awards, and Event Solutions Spotlight Awards.

Michael Roman Lifetime Achievement Award Goes to Kendall Collier
This prestigious award is presented in memory of the late Catersource Founder Michael Roman to recognize someone who upholds a commitment to the craft, a dedication to lifelong learning and a level of success that adds value to the industry as a whole. The third annual Michael Roman Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Kendall Collier, Managing Director of A Divine Event.
In 1987, Collier partnered with her best friend Teresa Day to purchase their first special event facility, Flint Hill, in Atlanta. Over the next 28 years, together they grew their off-premise catering and event design business, purchasing four more event facilities. Day passed away last October, but Collier continues to manage A Divine Event missing her best friend each day. Kendall has served the industry in many capacities, most recently as a Past President of the ICA, where she began an ambitious culinary learning journey program.
2016 Event Solutions Hall of Fame Recognizes King Dahl
Event Solutions will induct King Dahl, a prominent event production professional, into the Hall of Fame. Throughout his 33-year career implementing innovative design concepts for discerning clients, Dahl has shown strong dedication to enhancing the industry. From honing his skills at It's the Main Event, to running his own company in California, to spending 12 years as Executive Director of MGM Resorts Event Productions in Las Vegas, he has produced thousands of events. At MGM, he worked with nearly every Fortune 500 company, and quadrupled sales in his time there.
Both Collier and Dahl will be recognized for their achievements during the opening session at CSES2016 on Monday, March 14 at 8:30am.
Winners for the ICA CATIE, Catersource ACE and Event Solutions Spotlight Awards will be honored at the POPalooza! Industry Awards Celebration, recognizing the best in catering and events and the leaders and innovators shaping the industry. The winners will be named after a champagne brunch reception at 10:00am on Tuesday, March 15.
ICA Catered Arts Through Innovative Excellence (CATIE) Awards
These prestigious awards, presented by the International Caterers Association (ICA) recognize achievement of exemplary catered production at an event.
Catersource Achievement in Catering Excellence (ACE) Awards
The annual Catersource ACE Awards recognize companies that have shown noteworthy achievement in the catering industry through culinary, business, community and professional development. Finalists were chosen to represent the best in each of these three geographic regions: East, West and International.
Event Solutions Spotlight Awards
The Event Solutions Spotlight Awards are dedicated to recognizing the best and the brightest event professionals in the industry. The awards are presented in a variety of categories and honor both individuals and companies for their body of work in the previous year (2015).
