Ambient Water Visits California State Capital to Discuss Water Crisis

2015-04-02 03:01 ET - News Release

SPOKANE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/02/15

Ambient Water (OTCQB: AWGI), a leading provider of atmospheric water generation systems for extracting water from humidity in the air, today announced that it has partnered with Matt Gray, a prominent California lobbyist, in an effort to introduce the Ambient Water (AW) 400 atmospheric water generation system to state government officials as a viable resource for addressing the state's daunting water crisis.

Earlier in March, Jay Famiglietti, the senior water scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory/Caltech, penned an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times, indicating his belief that California has only one year of water stored in its reservoirs. After outlining several steps required to address this issue, Mr. Famiglietti states, "Our state's water management is complex, but the technology and expertise exist to handle this harrowing future. It will require major changes in policy and infrastructure that could take decades to identify and act upon."

Ambient Water believes its atmospheric water generation systems, which create clean water from humidity in the air, providing the viable technology solution Mr. Famiglietti referred to in combatting the state's impending water crisis. Last week, Gray accompanied Ambient Water CEO Keith White on a visit to the Capitol Building, introducing White and outlining Company technology to lawmakers. Following this visit, Ambient Water has proposed a demonstration of the AW 400 and its capabilities to take place on the front lawn of the capitol in an effort to showcase the technology to lawmakers and other state officials.

"Recent environmental issues have resulted in the humbling conclusion that California is running out of water," said Keith White, Founder and CEO of Ambient Water. "While we are disturbed and concerned by this news, we are confident Ambient Water can be part of the solution. We certainly view the water scarcity in the region as a significant challenge, but we also believe it represents a market opportunity for AW systems to be implemented immediately to begin producing clean water near the point of use."

"As the world's eighth-largest economy, California cannot move forward without water," said Matt Gray, Lobbyist at Advocacy & Consulting. "Lawmakers and the Governor just approved $1.1 billion drought relief legislation, and I believe Ambient Water's technology can provide immediate relief for our state. Seeing is believing, and our goal for the near-future is to let the technology speak for itself, by showcasing the AW 400 at the Capitol for real-time analysis and assessment."

Ambient Water's patented atmospheric water generation technology literally makes water out of thin air, transforming humidity into an abundant source of clean water near the point of use. With multiple systems already commercially available or in development, the Company's technology produces clean and fresh water for a host of commercial industries including process water for hydraulic fracking in the oil and gas industry and agriculture, while also providing fresh drinking water for homes, offices, and communities.
