Narus, Inc., a leader in big data analytics for cybersecurity solutions, today named Shirish Andhare the general manager of Narus' India operations. Andhare is a Silicon Valley veteran with global experience in telecommunications, mobile and Web services. Based out of Narus' Bangalore center, he will play a key leadership role in driving company business initiatives as Narus continues to expand into new markets around the world.

Andhare brings a wealth of experience in software development, product management and marketing in enterprise and service provider markets. He most recently served as vice president of emerging business at BroadSoft, where he spearheaded a third-party applications marketplace for telecommunications service providers. Previous to BroadSoft, he was vice president of product and corporate marketing at Sylantro Systems, where he positioned the Silicon Valley company as a global pioneer in Web 2.0-based telecommunications Web services. Andhare holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a master's in management sciences from Stanford University.
