HOUSTON, TX / ACCESSWIRE / May 4, 2016 / Valmie Resources Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VMRI) is present at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) to view the latest scientific and technical discoveries for offshore resources, as it continues to roll out Aerolift eXpress.

The partnership between Valmie and Aerolift eXpress was announced Monday at OTC in Houston. Aerolift , a privately held tech startup operated by former U.S. military pilots, is an elite unmanned transportation service that focuses on the offshore sector and uses military grade vehicles and systems.

Aerolift has the capability to deliver a sizeable payload of up to 14 pounds within an operating radius of 250 miles, with plans to increase the payload size to as much as 80 pounds in subsequent development phases.

The Aerolift exhibit at OTC was popular among conference participants, where a model of the transport drone was on view. Several visitors to the exhibit indicated an interest in working with Aerolift to develop a drone delivery process within their operations.

"We have had several productive meetings with conference participants," said James Stafford, Aerolift eXpress CEO and Founder. "The need for safe operational efficiencies and less expensive options has led offshore asset owners to seek innovative solutions such as unmanned transport. We are in the right place at the right time."

"This collaboration fits in with Valmie's vision of commercializing exciting leading edge products in the drone space," said Gerald B. Hammack, President and CEO of Valmie Resources. "The response from the OTC participants has been extremely encouraging."

Valmie holds a 333 Exemption to operate unmanned aircraft within the U.S. National Airspace System and is authorized to conduct commercial operations such as aerial based agricultural applications, search and rescue operations, power line and pipeline inspections, infrastructure surveying, and aerial imaging.

OTC is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters. The conference is taking place through May 5. Founded in 1969, OTC's flagship conference is held annually in Houston and is the city's largest convention.
