Retail Properties of America, Inc. (NYSE: RPAI) announced today that one
of its subsidiaries signed two new leases at La Plaza Del Norte center
in San Antonio, TX. The leases represent over 42,000 square feet and
include an 18,900-square-foot lease with Sam Moon Trading Co. and a
23,229-square-foot Total Wine & More store.
“We are pleased with the leasing momentum at this center and are excited
about these brands opening their first locations in San Antonio,” said
Jason Kasal, vice president/ leasing director for RPAI Southwest
Management LLC, a subsidiary of RPAI. “The outstanding tenant mix has
driven traffic and sales at the center resulting in the center being
over 98 percent leased.”
La Plaza Del Norte, located in the San Antonio shopping district, across
from North Star Mall, will be the first San Antonio location for both
retailers. This will be Sam Moon’s 8th store in Texas which
features a unique assortment of women’s fashion handbags, jewelry and
accessories.
Total Wine & More, operates over 85 superstores across 15 states. The
retailer offers more than 8,000 different wines from every
wine-producing region in the world. Additional offerings include more
than 2,500 beers and 3,000 different spirits from every price range and
category.
La Plaza Del Norte is a 320,000 square foot power center anchored by
Best Buy, Sports Authority and Ross Dress for Less. Other major tenants
include DSW, Bealls, David’s Bridal and Petco.
