Michael Baker Jr., Inc., a unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE
MKT:BKR), announced that Beth Drylie, P.E., of the Company’s Virginia
Beach, Va., office, has been appointed senior vice president and
Mid-Atlantic Transportation manager. Previously, she served as vice
president and office principal for the Company’s Virginia Beach office,
and as principal-in-charge of Baker’s Mid-Atlantic Construction Services
practice. In her new role, Drylie will have leadership responsibility
for all aspects of Baker’s transportation activities in the Mid-Atlantic
Region which includes the states of Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina,
Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia, as well as the District of
Columbia.
“Beth has been a great asset to Baker for a number of years,” said
Baker’s Jim Twomey, P.E., senior vice president and Operations Committee
member. “Her experience and overall management of the Virginia Beach
office and in particular, her leadership and guidance in support of
growth of our Transportation and Construction Services businesses in the
Mid-Atlantic Region, will be instrumental in her continued success and
the growth of the region.”
Drylie obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from
West Virginia University. She is a registered Professional Engineer in
Virginia. Additionally, Drylie has served as president, vice president,
treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society
of Highway Engineers (ASHE), Greater Hampton Roads Chapter. She has also
served on the Board of Trustees and as chair, past chair, and
chair-elect of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), Virginia
Section. She will continue to operate from Baker’s Virginia Beach office.
