Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, is celebrating the grand opening for McCain Mall Stadium 12 & RPX. Activities include preview events with $2 movies for three full days to benefit local charities. The official grand opening will be September 21 with first-run features including Dredd 3D, End of Watch and House at the End of the Street.Moviegoers will also enjoy free popcorn and soft drinks with each paid admission Friday, September 21 through Thursday, October 4.

The theatre is modern in every way with RealD® 3D and a unique auditorium equipped for RPX – the Regal Premium Experience. RPX presents movies the way filmmakers intended with powerful, uncompressed surround sound and bright eye-popping images in 2D and 3D. Guests will enjoy the custom-built premium environment featuring elegant and luxurious seats with high-back headrests. A giant immersive screen is illuminated by high-quality digital projectors and completed with a state-of-the-art sound system.

Another cutting-edge technology available exclusively at Regal Entertainment Group theatres is Sony’s Entertainment Access System to assist deaf, hard of hearing, blind and low vision moviegoers. The system includes specially designed lightweight eyewear for deaf and hard of hearing guests to privately view closed captioned text directly in their line of sight for both 2D and 3D movies. This assistive technology also includes a wireless receiver that provides access to descriptive audio tracks for blind and low vision guests via a pair of headsets. The access glasses and audio headsets allow guests to individually enjoy the cinema experience in a relaxed, natural way without the inconvenience of separate screening times or special seating.

Guests desiring such accommodations need only request the Sony Entertainment Access System at the Guest Services counter or from any manager. Captions and descriptive audio can only be accessed by use of this equipment and it is not available to other moviegoers.
