FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. -- (Business Wire)
Joining with local businesses in support of the annual Fall Fest
community event for the entire U.S. Army Fort Campbell community,
University of Phoenix launched its 2014-15 support of Family and Morale,
Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs at military installations
throughout the country. Hundreds of University of Phoenix students,
faculty, alumni and employees currently live, work and serve in the Fort
Campbell post’s community.
“We are gratified to join with local businesses in making possible
important community events at bases and posts throughout the U.S., and
Fort Campbell’s Fall Fest is among the best,” said Mike Bibbee, who
leads University of Phoenix National Defense Liaison teams at U.S.
military installations. “Our hope is to make possible more of these
events in support of local military communities and to enhance the
quality of life of those who support and defend our country.”
“The support of institutions like University of Phoenix and other
businesses who sponsor our programs and activities is vital to our work
of enhancing opportunities for soldiers and their families,” said Marty
Sims, Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising Manager, Fort Campbell MWR.
“We value our soldiers for their sacrifice, value those organizations
that help improve our entire community at Fort Campbell, and are eager
to add more events as the new year approaches.”
Local businesses in support of the Fort Campbell Fall Fest community
event included USAA, USA Living, Verizon Wireless, Mathews Nissan, Fort
Campbell Federal Credit Union, and AT&T. The next MWR event in support
of soldiers and families–the Spooktacular Halloween event in the post’s
Town Center—will be held Friday evening, October 24, from 6-10pm CDT.
