WAYZATA, Minn. -- (Business Wire)
TCF Bank today announced the grand opening of its new branch in the
Knollwood Mall area of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The new branch is
located at 8951 W. 36th St. The new branch replaces TCF
Bank’s facility located at 8020 Highway 7.
“With the recent redevelopment of the Knollwood Mall property, we have
built a new branch that allows us to continue offering convenient access
and enhanced customer service,” said Tim Doyle, director of Branch
Banking in Minnesota for TCF Bank. “TCF Bank has been in St. Louis Park
for 42 years and we are excited to have a new, modern facility to serve
our customers.”
Customers will enjoy several convenient enhancements at the new facility
including a concierge station to provide timely assistance and
information, new cash dispensing equipment at the teller line for faster
transactions, video equipment in the drive-through that allows two-way
visual communication between the teller and customer, and ATMs in both
the drive-through and lobby that are accessible 24 hours a day. The
branch is also more convenient for customers to access on W. 36th
St. with less congestion and close proximity to the retail shopping in
the Knollwood Mall area.
As part of the TCF’s grand opening celebration, TCF Bank will make a
financial contribution to St. Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP). STEP
is a local non-profit organization that responds to people in crisis who
need assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing, transportation
and housing. The new Knollwood branch and TCF Bank’s location inside the
Cub® Foods store inKnollwood will serve as
collection points during the months of June and July to benefit STEP
through TCF’s Change Makes Change® program. TCF Bank
associates will also be volunteering their time with STEP to support its
mission.
TCF is also taking a leadership role in working to improve the financial
IQ of people who live in the communities served by TCF. Last year, TCF
made a bold commitment to reach two million people over the next three
years with the online TCF Financial Learning Center for adults and
in-classroom TCF Financial Scholars program for high school students.
These programs offer independent online financial education courses on
topics ranging from mortgages and credit, to identity protection and
paying for higher education. Developed in partnership with EverFi, a
leading online education provider, the two programs have reached nearly
30,000 adults and students in all of the communities served by TCF. In
Minnesota, the TCF Financial Scholars program is active in 37 schools,
with more than 2,800 students taking the course. The TCF Financial
Learning Center is available to all TCF customers free of charge and
selected course modules are periodically made available to anyone.
Special grand opening offers will also be available through the end of
June. Residents can visit the TCF Knollwood branch and enter for a
chance to win a 80” Sharp® AQUOS® Smart HDTV and a
1-year Netflix Subscription. See a TCF representative at the Knollwood
branch for details on the sweepstakes.
As a result of the grand opening of the new branch at 8951 W. 36th
St, the TCF Bank branch at 8020 Highway 7 is now closed. All services,
including home loans, will continue to be available at the new location.
