EMMETT, Idaho -- (Business Wire)
Residents in the Gem
County, Idaho, area can now pay for their ambulance transport
payments using credit
and debit cards, Rick Welch, Gem
County Emergency Services Director announced. Transport payments can
be paid online by going to the Gem County website at www.co.gem.id.us
or over-the-counter at the Emergency Services office located at 330 E.
Main St. in Emmett.
“By being able to accept credit and debit cards, the county provides a
convenient way to pay ambulance fees online,” Welch said. “It’s nice for
our customers to not have to come in if they don’t want to, or be turned
away if they don’t have a checkbook with them.”
The county accepts any credit
or debit card displaying a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American
Express logo.
Gem County partnered with Access
Idaho, the state’s official Web administrator that specializes in
electronic government applications, for help with setting up and running
the service. The Development Services department is the 120th
county deployment to launch Access
Idaho’s PayPort payment service. No tax dollars or county funds were
used to develop and maintain the service.
