SAN FRANCISCO -- (Business Wire)
Moovweb
today announced that International
Speedway Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select Market: ISCA) (“ISC”),
owners of thirteen [13] world renowned motorsports facilities, such as
the Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway, has
launched a new, mobile-friendly fan experience that now makes it even
easier for race fans to purchase tickets to a wide variety of events
directly from their smartphones at all ISC venues. The new mobile
ticketing sites were launched on April 10, 2013 and give fans the
ability to easily purchase event tickets, pit passes, access to fan
zones and much more. To experience the new mobile sites, fans can go to
any of the ISC motorsports track sites, such as daytonainternationalspeedway.com,
on a mobile device and select the “Tickets” link next to an event.
“Enhancing the fan experience for our customers while they are at the
track is a high priority,” stated Tina Martin, ISC's Chief Information
Officer. “With our new mobile-friendly sites, fans can now save time and
effort by using the power of their smartphones to purchase tickets from
virtually anywhere to gain access to a wide range of world-class events
and event day activities.”
Moovweb was selected to power the mobile experiences because it was a
platform that allowed ISC to inherit the complete functionality of its
existing desktop site, including the online sales flow, in the mobile
experience. This saved the company time and protected its investments in
the current eCommerce offering.
“We looked at all of the alternatives and Moovweb simply made the most
sense,” continued Mrs. Martin. “Not only did the new mobile site get
launched quickly, but also we saved time and money by leveraging our
existing desktop site. We now have a long-term partner that will help us
deliver amazing fan experiences across a wide range of mobile touch
points, including ones no one has dreamed up yet.”
The Moovweb experience
platform empowers businesses to go mobile by taking a fundamentally
different approach to unifying its Web and mobile development. With
Moovweb’s patent-pending site virtualization and transformation
technology, a business’s mobile sites and apps inherit and stay in sync
with a desktop site’s content, features and business logic. This
approach allows powerful mobile experiences to be delivered in days, not
months, and drives radically improved business agility over time.
“Race fans are going to love the amazing new experience on their
smartphones,” said Mitch Bishop, chief marketing officer for Moovweb.
“Customers like ISC are validating our next-generation approach to
mobile that focuses on front end-centric web development. This approach
future-proofs their businesses and accelerates the delivery of
compelling mobile experiences that reflect their unique values.”
