Verizon’s first-ever nationwide virtual career fair on July 23 will
allow interested candidates to use technology to connect online and chat
directly with company recruiters – without leaving the comfort and
familiarity of their own homes. Verizon is looking to fill more than
1,000 positions across the country in wireless sales, customer service
and tech support during the second half of 2015, including nearly 250
jobs in New England.
Local applicants may seek to apply for a number of regional career
opportunities at Verizon Wireless’ customer contact centers, located in
Bangor, Maine, and Wallingford, Connecticut, and at many wireless retail
stores throughout New England. In total, the company is seeking to hire
approximately 85 customer service representatives, 140 retail sales
professionals, and 15 B2B (business-to-business) sales professionals as
a result of this virtual hiring event.
The Verizon Wireless Virtual Career Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to
2:30 p.m. EDT on Thursday, July 23. Candidates from anywhere in the
U.S., including students and graduates, are encouraged to participate.
Leading up to the event, Verizon has conducted outreach on national
college campuses, including Gateway Community College, Middlesex
Community College and Tunxis Community College in Connecticut, Eastern
Maine Community College and Kennebec Valley Community College in Maine,
and Bunker Hill Community College in Massachusetts.

option of gaining access through their LinkedIn account. Candidates can
