On September 18, 2014, Marchex announced that it had lowered its 2014
call-driven revenue outlook. The Company attributed this reduction in
guidance to “revised commitments” from Allstate. The Company claimed
that Allstate was seeking to switch to a fixed-fee basis instead of
payments made for each call.
