DENVER -- (Business Wire)
TheColorado
Department of Public Safety, (CDPS)
launched new websites for six of their divisions. The new streamlined
look provides over 1.7 million yearly visitors with access to these
central hubs of augmented information that will change to meet the needs
of Colorado communities. All of the new sites can be accessed through
CDPS at http://cdpsweb.state.co.us/.
During a four-month implementation, 40 staff members from CDPS
divisions transitioned their websites to Colorado
Interactive’s Drupal based Pacific platform. The six websites exceed
400 pages of content and contain links to nearly 2,000 documents. Easy
navigation, responsive design, and relevant content are some of the key
highlights of the new websites. Another key feature is the capability to
translate the content in over 50 languages.
“The new websites of the Department of Public Safety will provide the
public and our stakeholders with quality information in a user-friendly
format,” said Stan Hilkey, executive director for DPS. “Our Web team
spent considerable time ensuring the websites will serve as an essential
resource for citizens seeking information and services.”
The divisions within CDPS that have launched sites are: Colorado
Bureau of Investigation, Colorado
State Patrol, Colorado
School Safety Resource Center, Colorado
Integrated Criminal justice Information System, Colorado
Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice, and the Office
of Research and Statistics.
This work was made possible through the ongoing partnership between CDPS,
Colorado
Interactive dba Colorado.gov,
and the Colorado Statewide
Internet Portal Authority (SIPA), who continue to provide no-cost
websites for Colorado government.
