Super Bowl City will run from Jan. 30 through Feb. 7. PG&E’s San Francisco headquarters, located at the corner of Market and Beale streets, will welcome fans to the free-to-the-public event.

PG&E delivers some of the cleanest energy in the nation to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. More than 55 percent of the energy PG&E delivers comes from sources that emit no greenhouse gases. By the year 2020, PG&E expects that number will grow to approximately 65 percent.

In 2015, PG&E announced a significant milestone of connecting 200,000 solar customers to its electric grid. With more solar than any other utility in the country, PG&E connects a new solar customer to its electric grid approximately every 11 minutes.

In advance of the game, PG&E is working with the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee, the National Football League and myriad law-enforcement and other agencies in San Francisco and the South Bay to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for those traveling from out of town as well as our local PG&E customers.

The company has conducted venue-specific patrols of its electric and gas facilities near all of the event venues to make sure that safe and reliable service will be provided. Additionally, PG&E will open emergency response centers in San Francisco and the South Bay during the nine-day run of events in order to respond to any incidents, should they occur.

“We couldn’t be prouder to be the Clean Energy Partner of the Super Bowl 50 Host Committee celebrating the 50th year of the big game. Our customers know that Northern California is a special place to live, and we welcome everyone who will be enjoying the festivities,” said Helen A. Burt, PG&E senior vice president of external affairs and public policy.
