Michael Baker Jr., Inc., a unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), announced that Cory Wilder, P.E., of the Company’s Phoenix, Ariz., office, has been appointed vice president and national Pipeline Engineering Practice lead. Previously, he served as assistant vice president, engineering manager for the Pipeline Practice. In this new role, Wilder will be responsible for operational leadership, technical oversight, administrative management and execution of pipeline projects throughout the continental U.S., Alaska and Canada.

“Cory’s 23-plus years of experience in resource and project management, planning, permitting, design, estimating, specifications and construction management on complex pipeline projects will be of real value to our Pipeline Engineering Practice,” said Baker’s Jeff Hill, senior vice president and Operations Committee member. “His proven project leadership skills bode well for the staff members in Baker’s Pipeline Practice, nationwide.”

Wilder obtained both his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and his Master of Science Degree in Arctic Engineering from the University of Alaska. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Alaska and Arizona. He will continue to operate from Baker’s Phoenix, Ariz., office.
